Für den chinesischen Hausgerätehersteller Midea ist der Weg zur Übernahme des Roboterhersteller Kuka endgültig frei. Die Regierung in Berlin fand keine Anhaltspunkte, „dass durch die Übernahme die öffentliche Ordnung oder Sicherheit der Bundesrepublik Deutschland gefährdet wird“.

Banks miss out as Chinese firms do DIY deal advice

Paying for advice is still a relatively new concept for Chinese firms, so they tend not to be big fee payers. While large conglomerates in developed markets have hired investment bankers to beef up in-house operations, they do still also use external advisers. The trend in China is to go in-house exclusively – as executives reckon the cost of external advice outweighs the benefit.

Sie legte laut dem National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS) im ersten Quartal des laufenden Jahres um 6,7% zu. Damit wächst das Reich der Mitte zwar nicht mehr so stürmisch wie noch vor Jahren. Allerdings entspricht diese von den Machthabern in Peking beschworene «neue Normalität» ökonomischen Gesetzmässigkeiten, die von Ländern wie Japan und Südkorea vorexerziert worden sind: Auf Jahre zweistelligen Wachstums folgt eine Abschwächung auf Werte um die 6%, bevor ein Land auf einen langfristigen Pfad einschwenkt, der zwischen 1 bis 3% bringt.
